“Making
the Business Case for Corp. HR and Third Party Firms Leveraging New Media to
Recruit”
On March 3,
2010 we will be hosting a morning session open to the public from 8AM – 10AM at
Special
thanks to our exclusive sponsor of the event, Indeed.com. “Indeed.
one search. all jobs.” whose generosity allows us to offer this
session to the community at well below market-rate.
The
techniques to identify, attract, engage, and recruit talent are constantly
evolving. “New Media” is a catch-all term for all forms of
electronic communication that have appeared or will appear since the original
mainly text-and-static picture forms of online communication. Social networks
such as LinkedIn, Facebook
and Twitter are subsets of New Media, as are blogs,
mobile marketing, search engines, search engine optimization and marketing,
streaming online video (live and taped),
email marketing, and more. Because it is “New Media” the space is
continually evolving and its definition is constantly expanding.
In order
win the war for talent, we as employment professionals, need to communicate in
ways that are most conducive to the candidate. However, in many situations
those most conducive processes for candidate communications are not yet in
place as standard operating procedures within our own organizations.
How do we
justify the investment of time, money, and resources to put these “New Media” in
place to best communicate with candidates? In this session we will address that
challenge and share actual case studies of how “New Media” are being used
successfully to recruit and the award winning methodologies to prove Return on
Investment and Return on Influence.
